Behaviour & Guidance
Each child is unique in sensitivity, intellect and learning style. There are many factors that influence behaviours – such as previous experiences, cultural differences and personal temperament. Behaviours of a child will also reflect their level of development. Understanding that every child is a “work in progress”, neither all good or all bad, we must have reasonable expectations of the child considering age and the stage of development.
It is our task to help children to learn what behaviour is acceptable and what is not. In this approach we wish to help the child to reach a level of self-discipline where gradually our input is no longer needed.
At Rothewood Academy we use Positive and Supportive Guidance strategies to help children in their journey of developing inner discipline.
The topics covered in this course will support you in deepening your understanding on practicing Positive and Supportive Guidance strategies
